Dr Radivoj Arezina, MD MSc

Stridon’s founder and Chief Executive Officer, Dr Radivoj Arezina, is a medical doctor and a clinical pharmacologist with a special interest and expertise in the conduct of clinical trials. He brings to Stridon extensive experience in clinical research, gained at some of the most reputable UK contract research organisations.

Prior to establishing Stridon, Dr Arezina co-founded Richmond Pharmacology, where for over 15 years he held the position of Research Director and was instrumental in making Richmond a UK leading Phase I CRO.

Dr Arezina’s expertise is built on many years of hands-on experience covering a wide area of clinical research that includes study design, setup and conduct, writing and providing expert input into protocols and study reports, making clinical trial submissions to regulatory authorities including liaison with the UK regulator MHRA and discussing the merits of often complex clinical trial applications, providing CMC advice and putting together investigational medicinal product dossiers (IMPDs), being an MHRA-licensed Qualified Person (QP) and having the responsibility for quality management systems and regulatory compliance in the companies where he worked.

To date, he has conducted over 200 clinical trials as an investigator, ranging from first-into-human to Phase III trials and covering different therapeutic areas including cardiovascular, respiratory, gastrointestinal, CNS, pain, dermatology, endocrinology and urology.

Dr Arezina has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals and has a keen interest in training and teaching. He is a Visiting Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Life Sciences & Medicine at King’s College London.
